Bake To The Future is an award winning independent cake company run by me, Lou!


Based in Ashford and covering the whole of Kent and the South East, Bake To The Future was established in 2016.

I made my first cake in June 2012, it was a Superman themed Father's Day cake for my husband and it was far too big and totally wonky but I loved every second of the 12 hours I spent working on it, thankfully I'm a bit faster these days! In 2016, I decided to take a huge leap in to the World of cakes and register with Ashford Borough Council as a food business. Achieving my 5* rating from environmental health is one of my proudest moments. I also hold a level 2 qualification in food safety and hygiene and a level 2 qualification in catering, I have also passed a government course on allergens.  


Bake To The Future was born from my love of creating truly unique, eye catching cakes that combine my natural love and flair for baking with my eye for detail and design. I work closely with every client from the first contact until they have received and enjoyed their cake to ensure that it meets and exceeds every expectation. I offer a professional, friendly service and high quality products. I am dedicated to making every cake the best I can, I am always learning new skills and developing or improving my techniques. This includes attending specialist courses and studying cake and food practices. I love learning and growing as an artist and as a business owner.


I always push myself to be more! This is how I have achieved a Bronze and three Merit awards at Cake International, I won the Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday and I have had my work featured in Cake Masters Magazine, DLicious Magazine, Cake Decoration & Sugarcraft Magazine and Your Kent Wedding Magazine as well as the Angelfoods and the Adventures In Kakeland Podcasts, Made In Kent radio and a range of National and International blogs. I am very proud to be a recommended supplier at Winters Barns, Solton Manor, Broome Park Hotel, The Abbots Barton Hotel and Commissioner's House at The Historic Dockyard. I am also recommended and/or featured on Hitched, Bridebook, Quirky Weddings, The Wedding Industry Supplier Network, Unconventional Wedding, The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation and Whimsical Wonderland Weddings. 


My business has gone from strength to strength over the years and I have achieved more than I ever thought possible but as my business grows so do my ambitions and I'd love to have you along for the ride!
